The invention relates to the technical field of building construction machinery, in particular to an intelligent pavement tamping device for large-area concrete pavement construction, which comprises a first tamping block and a second tamping block, two sides of the first tamping block and the second tamping block are respectively provided with a rotating plate; a first driving mechanism and a second driving mechanism which are connected with the rotating plate and are used for driving the second tamping block and the first tamping block to alternately move forwards for tamping are arranged in the first tamping block and the second tamping block respectively, and a controller in signal connection with the first driving mechanism and the second driving mechanism is further included; the controller sends a signal to the first driving mechanism to drive the second tamping block to move forwards for tamping, and after the second tamping block moves forwards for tamping, the controller sends a stop signal to the first driving mechanism and sends a start signal to the second driving mechanism to drive the first tamping block to move forwards for tamping. When a large-area concrete pavement is tamped, manual propelling is not needed, and the physical power consumption of constructors is greatly reduced.
