The invention relates to the field of grating plates, in particular to a high-strength steel grating plate and a preparation method thereof. The steel grating plate comprises, by mass, 0.2%-0.6% of carbon, 0.6%-0.9% of silicon, 0.3%-1.0% of manganese, smaller than or equal to 0.03% of phosphorus, smaller than or equal to 0.02% of sulfur, 4.0%-5.5% of chromium, 2.0%-3.0% of molybdenum, 0.3%-0.4% of vanadium, 0.2%-0.4% of zirconium, 0.1%-0.2% of rhenium and the balance iron. Manganese, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, zirconium, rhenium and iron ore are smelted, carbon and silicon are added at the same time, and molten iron is prepared; the preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing flat steel and a cross bar through the processes of converter smelting, continuous casting, rolling and the like, assembling the flat steel and the cross bar in a welding manner to prepare the steel grating plate, and depositing a CrMoTiCoPdN coating on the surface of the steel grating plate by adopting a magnetron sputtering technology, so that the strength and the corrosion resistance of the steel grating plate are improved.
