The invention provides a vehicle-mounted water spraying device which comprises a water storage tank (1), a left water conveying pipe (2), a right water conveying pipe (3), a left valve (4), a right valve (5), a left pump (6), a right pump (7), a left water spraying opening (8), a right water spraying opening (9) and a controller (10), wherein the left valve (4) and the right valve (5) are used for controlling water circulation; the left pump (6) and the right pump (7) are used for controlling water pressure; the invention further provides a control method of the vehicle-mounted water spraying device, and in the water spraying process, the controller (10) obtains the driving speed of the carrier vehicle and the position of the carrier vehicle in real time, and the water spraying flow of the left water spraying opening (8) and the water spraying flow of the right water spraying opening (9) are adjusted in combination with map information of an operation road. The device is simple in structure and wide in applicability, can be manufactured through simple transformation on the basis of an existing watering cart, and meanwhile considers the influence of factors such as the running speed and the running position on the watering amount of all the positions of the road, so that the watering amount of all the positions of the operation road in the watering process is kept uniform as much as possible.
