The invention provides a fishway inlet structure combined with a dam body and a fish passing method.The fishway inlet structure comprises a fishway opening mechanism arranged on the downstream portion of a dam body main body, the fishway opening mechanism comprises a fishway groove tightly attached to the dam body main body, the fishway groove is obliquely arranged in the length direction of the fishway groove, and a fish collecting groove is formed in the side, away from the dam body main body, of the fishway groove; a communication opening is formed between the end of the fishway groove and the end of the fish collecting groove, the communication opening is formed in the lower end of the fishway groove, a fish collecting groove inlet is formed in the end, away from the communication opening, of the fish collecting groove, and a fish outlet is formed in the higher end of the fishway groove and used for being communicated with a fishway arranged on the shore. According to the fishway inlet structure and the fish passing method thereof, by optimizing the fishway inlet structure, fish collection is facilitated, and fish can be guided into the fishway easily.
