The wear-resistant ceramic grinding ball comprises the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 5-15% of bauxite, 20-60% of iron oxide, 20-65% of gamma-aluminum oxide, 1-5% of silicon oxide, 1-10% of zirconium oxide, 0.5-5% of zinc oxide, 0.1-0.5% of chromium oxide, 0.2-3% of cerium oxide, 1-5% of feldspar, 1-3% of talc, 0.5-3% of calcium carbonate and 0.2-2% of barium carbonate. According to the invention, the problem of low-cost production of high-specific-gravity ceramic grinding balls is solved, the problem of reduction of wear resistance, strength and hardness of a ceramic material caused by application of a large amount of iron oxide is solved, and the problem of conversion of iron oxide into a spinel mineral AB2X4 with relatively high hardness at a relatively low temperature is also solved.
