The invention belongs to the technical field of bridge engineering, and discloses a connecting structure between an arch rib and an arch foot and a connecting method of the arch rib and the arch foot. The connecting structure between the arch rib and the arch foot comprises a fixing box, a reinforcing structure and a connecting steel bar, the fixing box is used for being connected with an arch seat, a plurality of inserting holes are formed in the side, facing the arch rib, of the fixing box, and round bamboos are inserted into the inserting holes respectively; the fixing box is filled with the reinforcing structure, and the reinforcing structure wraps the periphery of the end of the round bamboo. One end of the connecting steel bar is inserted into the round bamboo in the length direction of the round bamboo, and the other end of the connecting steel bar is located in the reinforcing structure. According to the connecting structure between the arch rib and the arch foot, the round bamboo and the fixing box can be fixedly connected without damaging the structure of the round bamboo, axial force and bending moment transmitted by the arch rib can be evenly and stably transmitted to the fixing box and further transmitted to an arch seat below the fixing box, and therefore safety and stability of a bridge body are guaranteed.
