The invention discloses a device for preventing short-circuit current of a tundish. The device comprises a diversion channel, a diversion channel edge and a fixing module, the flow guide channel is vertically arranged on the upper surface of the fixing module and is used for guiding short steel flow at the bottom of the tundish, and the guide surface of the flow guide channel is an inclined surface; the two guide channel edges are arranged on the edges of the two sides of the guide channel in the length direction and used for restraining the short steel flow on the guide face. The invention further discloses the tundish comprising the device. According to the method, short-circuit flow of molten steel in the tundish can be restrained, large-particle inclusions are prevented from entering a crystallizer, the molten steel in the tundish is completely poured at the end of pouring, the process cost is not affected, and therefore the quality of a casting blank is improved, and economic losses are reduced.
