The invention discloses an expansion joint formwork, relates to the technical field of building construction, solves the problem of cracking in the early strength forming process of concrete, and adopts the technical scheme that the expansion joint formwork comprises a first formwork and a second formwork which are rotationally connected through a hinge assembly; a rubber pad is arranged between the first template and the second template, a plurality of first through holes are formed in the side walls, close to the rubber pad, of the first template and the second template, the first template and the second template are connected through a plurality of first bolts, and the first bolts penetrate through the first through holes; a nut is installed on the first bolt in a threaded mode. The rubber pads are arranged between the formworks, the pull rods are sleeved with the rubber sleeves, long holes are formed in the hinges, gaps are reserved, deformation of the formworks is buffered, friction force of the formworks is released and is not directly transmitted to concrete, and therefore concrete cracking is avoided.
