The invention discloses a refractory material of a light launder for conveying molten aluminum and a preparation and pouring method of the refractory material. The refractory material comprises a dry material and a binding agent, the dry material is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 50.0 to 70.0 percent of aluminum oxide hollow spheres, 5.0 to 15.0 percent of glass hollow microspheres, 5.0 to 15.0 percent of graphite fiber powder, 5.0 to 15.0 percent of alpha-Al2O3 micro powder, 5.0 to 10.0 percent of calcium aluminate cement and 1.0 to 5.0 percent of sintering agent; the binding agent is formed by mixing aluminum dihydrogen phosphate and water. The refractory material provided by the invention is a refractory castable based on phosphate combined with aluminum oxide hollow spheres, the lightweight launder for conveying molten aluminum is obtained after stirring, mixing, forming and sintering, and the lightweight launder for conveying molten aluminum has the advantages of no aluminum adhesion, light weight, excellent thermal insulation performance, high medium-temperature strength, low impurity content and the like; the prepared light launder for conveying the molten aluminum has important significance on temperature control and product quality stability in the aluminum product production process.
