High spring force shutters for dynamic shades and/or related methods
Certain exemplary embodiments relate to potential driven shades that can be used with isolation glass (IG) units, IG units including such shades, and/or associated methods. In such a unit, a dynamic shade is located between substrates defining the IG unit and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The dynamic shade includes an upper glass layer including a transparent conductor and insulator or dielectric film, and an optical shutter. The shutter includes an elastomeric polymer-based layer and layers on opposite surfaces thereof. A first voltage is applied to the transparent conductor to cause the shutter to extend to a closed position.

Certain exemplary embodiments relate to potential driven shades that can be used with isolation glass (IG) units, IG units including such shades, and/or associated methods. In such a unit, a dynamic shade is located between substrates defining the IG unit and is movable between a retracted position and an extended position.
