The invention discloses a high-performance alkali-activated cementing material and a preparation method thereof. The high-performance alkali-activated cementing material comprises the following main components: siliceous iron tailing powder, fly ash, slag powder, silicon-calcium slag, water and an activator. The preparation method of the high-performance alkali-activated cementing material comprises the following steps: step 1, drying raw materials; 2, grinding the raw materials; step 3, proportioning the raw materials; and step 4, mixing and stirring. The alkali-activated cementing material is prepared by performing activity excitation on a slag fly ash system by using an alkali activator; the strength and heat resistance of the concrete can be improved through the characteristics of the activator sodium silicate, the generated product is attached and wrapped on the surface of the fly ash, so that the fly ash is separated from the outside, the setting time of the cementing material is prolonged, the quick setting performance of the alkali-activated cementing material is improved, and the activated slag cementing material has a good retarding effect, high compressive strength and low cost; the energy consumption is low.
