The purpose of the present invention is to provide a construction machine and an operation device for a construction machine with improved operability. This construction machine is provided with: an operation device that can be operated in a first direction and a second direction; a hydraulic pump for supplying hydraulic oil; a hydraulic actuator; a reversing valve for controlling the hydraulic oil flowing from the hydraulic pump to the hydraulic actuator; and a control device that controls the reversing valve in accordance with the amount of operation of the operation device, the operation device being configured such that, when operated in the first direction, force easily escapes to the second direction, or, when operated in the second direction, force easily escapes to the first direction, and the force easily escapes to the second direction when operated in the second direction, and the control device controlling the reversing valve in accordance with the amount of operation of the operation device. The blind area is relatively large with respect to the direction in which the escape is easy.

本发明的目的在于，提供一种提高操作性的施工机械及施工机械用操作装置。施工机械具备：操作装置，能够在第1方向及第2方向上进行操作；液压泵，供给工作油；液压致动器；换向阀，控制从所述液压泵流向所述液压致动器的工作油；及控制装置，根据所述操作装置的操作量来控制所述换向阀，所述操作装置在结构上或在配置上构成为，在所述第1方向上进行操作时，力容易逃逸到所述第2方向，或者，在所述第2方向上进行操作时，力容易逃逸到所述第1方向，关于该容易逃逸的方向，盲区相对较大。
