The invention discloses a preparation method of a SiBCN ceramic precursor as well as a product and application thereof, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: by taking chlorosilane, boron trichloride, optionally added or not added disilazane and a SiBCN ceramic precursor by-product as raw materials, carrying out heating reaction under the protection of inert atmosphere by adopting a one-pot method to prepare the SiBCN ceramic precursor, namely PBSZ. According to the method, the PBSZ byproduct is recycled and used as a raw material to prepare the precursor, so that the problem that the byproduct generated in the process of preparing the PBSZ by a one-pot method cannot be treated is fundamentally solved, the environmental pollution is reduced, the production cost is effectively reduced, and the raw material can be recycled.
