The invention discloses a side slope fixing device. The side slope fixing device comprises an inserting plate with an L-shaped vertical section. The insertion plate comprises a horizontal plate and a vertical plate; the included angle between the vertical plate and the horizontal plate is the same as or similar to the slope surface angle alpha; at least one insertion cylinder is arranged in the middle of the vertical plate; the outer end of the insertion cylinder penetrates through the vertical plate and is fixedly connected with the vertical plate, and the inner end horizontally extends to one side of the horizontal plate; a plurality of through holes are formed in the circumferential surface of the insertion cylinder; according to the slope fixing device and method, the structural characteristics of the L-shaped inserting plate are utilized, overturning and sliding of soil are limited through the shape of the L-shaped inserting plate, the inserting plate is stabilized through the gravity of the soil, and therefore the position stability of the inserting plate and limitation of the soil are achieved; the sliding force possibly appearing in the soil is converted into resultant force in the vertical direction through the combined action of the vertical plate and the horizontal plate, and therefore landslides are reduced or avoided.
