The invention discloses a polishing motor pressing cylinder control method which comprises the following steps: S1) in an initial state, a first proportional pressure reducing valve, a second proportional pressure reducing valve, a first electromagnetic switch valve and a second electromagnetic switch valve are in a power-off state, and a polishing motor is in a lifting position; s2) starting polishing operation, judging whether to execute pressing operation or not, if not, returning to the step S1), and if so, executing the next step; s3) electrifying the first and second proportional pressure reducing valves and the first and second electromagnetic switch valves, and adjusting the output of the first and second proportional pressure reducing valves; s4) the grinding motor executes pressing operation; s5) judging whether the grinding motor reaches a specified position or not, if not, returning to the step S4), and if so, executing the next step; and S6) adjusting the output of the first proportional pressure reducing valve and the second proportional pressure reducing valve to keep the polishing motor at the current position, and continuously and dynamically adjusting. The technical problems that an existing control mode is high in hardware cost, the safety cannot be guaranteed, and the output downward pressure of the air cylinder cannot be accurately controlled can be solved.
