The invention provides a device and method for measuring road flatness, and relates to the technical field of road detection.The device is characterized in that a laser sensor, a distance detection device and a data processing device are arranged on a mobile measurement body, and the laser emission direction of the laser sensor is right opposite to a to-be-detected road surface; the data processing device is used for carrying out data optimization processing according to point cloud data detected by the laser sensor and an advancing distance detected by the distance detection device in the advancing process of the mobile measurement body to obtain a data set with the advancing distance as a horizontal axis and a vertical axis as a horizontal axis; and taking the road flatness represented by the point cloud data as a road flatness measurement curve of a longitudinal axis, and displaying the road flatness measurement curve. The device has the beneficial effects that the structure is simple, the manual operation cost is saved, the learning cost of operators is reduced, automatic compensation and automatic correction of point cloud data can be realized, so that the whole road flatness measurement curve is kept on the same reference plane, the measurement result can keep good continuity, and the consistency of the measurement data is ensured.
