The invention relates to the technical field of highway engineering, in particular to a large-particle-size asphalt mixture design method based on uniformity, which comprises the following steps: designing synthetic gradation composed of different particle sizes, evaluating the uniformity of the designed asphalt mixture by utilizing a small asphalt mixture distributor in combination with an extraction test, and selecting the gradation with the best uniformity as a target mix proportion. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the uniformity of the large-particle-size asphalt mixture is improved, the capability of maintaining the uniformity of the mixture in the paving process is ensured, and the engineering quality problem caused by aggregate segregation is reduced.
