The invention discloses a self-adaptive telescopic climbing tower assembling device and a tower assembling method.The device comprises a climbing device, a telescopic device, an outer attachment platform and a hoisting device, the fixed end of the climbing device is connected with an iron tower, the lifting end of the climbing device moves along an inclined material of the iron tower, and the two ends of the device are detachably and fixedly connected with the lifting end of the climbing device correspondingly; the hoisting device is fixedly mounted on the outer attachment platform; the method comprises the following steps: mounting a first-layer tower material; the climbing device is mounted on the inclined material of the first layer of tower material; mounting a second layer of tower material; moving the telescopic device upwards to a set position; the climbing device is controlled to be shortened; repeating until the installation is completed; the tower assembling device can adapt to iron tower sections with different widths, finally, the tower assembling device can be suitable for a construction operation platform for tower assembling construction of a tower body of a power transmission tower under the steep terrain, meanwhile, the platform has a self-climbing function, uncontrollable factors are eliminated, and it is ensured that the tower assembling mode in a mountainous area is safe and feasible.
