The method comprises the following steps: acquiring relative heights of at least four wheels when a vehicle runs on a target road; the relative height is the height relative to the preset reference ground, and the at least four wheels are not all located on the same side of the vehicle; according to the relative heights of at least three wheels in the at least four wheels, a plane where the at least three wheels are located is constructed, and the at least three wheels are not all located on the same side of the vehicle; according to the relative height of the remaining wheels in the at least four wheels, the distances between the remaining wheels and the plane are obtained; and determining the road surface unevenness of the target road according to the distance between the remaining wheels and the plane. According to the method, the accuracy of measuring the unevenness of the road surface where the vehicle is located when the vehicle runs is improved.
