The invention discloses a modular assembly type steel structure connecting structure which comprises a stand column. A stand column cavity is formed in the stand column, and a plurality of positioning grooves are formed in the side walls of the stand column at equal intervals. The positioning groove is communicated with the cavity of the stand column, and the stand column is provided with a first connecting unit and a second connecting unit. The first connecting unit and the second connecting unit are respectively connected with the positioning groove in an inserting manner; the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit are vertically arranged; the two ends of the first connecting unit and the two ends of the second connecting unit are fixedly connected with I-shaped beams through bolts correspondingly. The I-shaped beams are distributed outside the stand columns in a circumferential array mode. Grouting is conducted in the cavity of the stand column through an external grouting machine, and the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit are integrated after slurry curing; the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit are fixedly connected with the I-shaped beam through bolts; the whole stand column plays a role in supporting the I-shaped beam, and supporting of the I-shaped beam is enhanced.
