The invention discloses superfine powder and a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of facing mortar, the superfine powder is composed of white stone and cement, and the 400-mesh sieve residue passing rate of the superfine powder is larger than or equal to 99%. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) cleaning white stone, and primarily crushing to obtain white stone slag; (2) carrying out secondary crushing on the lime slag to obtain fine stone powder; and (3) mixing the fine stone powder with cement, and carrying out ball milling to obtain the superfine powder. The application refers to the application of the superfine powder in preparation of white inorganic texture mortar. According to the invention, the cement and the white sand in the white inorganic texture mortar are partially or completely replaced by the superfine powder, so that the problem that the surface of a construction surface of the white inorganic texture mortar is dark is solved. Compared with the prior art, the white inorganic texture mortar prepared from the superfine powder has the advantages of good brightness of a construction surface, no need of a coating cover surface, short construction period and lower construction cost.
