The invention provides lightweight plastering gypsum. The lightweight plastering gypsum comprises the following raw materials in parts by weight: 65-85 parts of desulfurized gypsum powder; 20 to 25 parts of powder; 0.2 to 0.5 part of a retarder; 1-3 parts of a water-retaining agent; 0.5 to 1 part of a tackifier; 0.2 to 0.4 part of a lubricant; 0.5 to 0.8 part of an organic solvent; wherein the water-retaining agent comprises sodium hypophosphite, hydroxyethyl acrylate and deionized water, and the proportion of the sodium hypophosphite to the hydroxyethyl acrylate to the deionized water is 1: (1.5-3): (2.2-3). The manufacturing process is simple, the materials are environmentally friendly, and no adverse effect is generated on the environment; the water-retaining agent contains highly hydrophilic groups such as hypophosphite and acrylic acid, so that an electrostatic repulsion effect can be provided firstly, and the fluidity of the mixed material is also improved; the desulfurized gypsum powder selects reasonable fineness, and different grades of powder are added, so that the volume stability of the plastering gypsum is better, the construction viscosity of the whole system is lower, and the construction requirement that one-time thick plastering is not easy to slip and fall is met.
