The invention belongs to the technical field of buildings, and discloses a steel fiber surface modification treatment method which comprises the following specific steps: step 1, dissolving dopamine (DA) in a tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane (Tris) buffer solution, and fully stirring to obtain a DA solution with specific concentration for later use; step 2, soaking a certain mass of steel fibers in a DA solution for a specific time; 3, taking out the soaked steel fibers, and cleaning the steel fibers with clear water; and 4, drying the cleaned steel fibers to constant weight, and cooling to room temperature for later use. According to the treatment method, DA can be effectively subjected to self-polymerization to generate PDA, PDA is attached to the surface of the steel fiber to change the surface property of the material, modify the surface roughness of the steel fiber and improve the hydrophilicity, the strength and durability of the concrete can also be remarkably enhanced, and the treatment method has the advantages of prolonging the service life of the concrete, reducing the cost and the like. And the maintenance cost of the service life cycle of the concrete structure is reduced.
