The invention relates to water supply equipment and a control method thereof.The water supply equipment comprises a controller, a data acquisition module, a mineral water preparation module, a water storage module and a water taking module, the mineral water preparation module, the water storage module and the water taking module are sequentially connected through a waterway pipeline, and when it is detected that the water supply equipment needs to prepare water, the mineral water preparation module is controlled to start water preparation; the data acquisition module is used for acquiring water preparation parameters in the water preparation process of the mineral water preparation module, so that the controller controls the mineral water preparation module to operate according to the water preparation parameters until water preparation completion conditions are judged to be met according to the water preparation parameters, and mineralized water prepared by the mineral water preparation module is output to the water storage module; and controlling the water taking module to output mineralized water required by the user according to the water taking signal. The mineralized water with the target concentration is prepared in the mineral water preparation module and stored in the water storage module, so that the mineral concentration in drinking water obtained by a user is accurate and stable, large fluctuation is avoided, and the requirement of people for healthy drinking water in life is met.
