The preparation method comprises the following steps: S1, providing a solid graphite core mold; s2, preparing a SiC composite layer on the surface of the graphite core mold; the SiC composite layer comprises a densified SiC fiber braid layer and a first SiC layer compounded on the SiC fiber braid layer; and S3, the graphite core mold and the SiC composite layer are removed in an oxidation removal mode, and the silicon carbide fuel cladding is formed. According to the preparation method of the silicon carbide fuel cladding, the solid graphite core mold serves as a support, the SiC fiber woven layer and the composite SiC layer are formed on the solid graphite core mold through weaving, then the graphite core mold is removed, the silicon carbide fuel cladding of a multi-layer structure is prepared, the requirements for roundness and straightness of the cladding are met, and the internal stress of the cladding is small; the problem that demolding is difficult is solved, and the problem that a full-size cladding is difficult to demold is solved.
