The viscoelastic energy dissipation shock absorber comprises a first connecting piece and a second connecting piece; the first connecting piece is connected with the concrete column, the second connecting piece is connected with the I-shaped steel beam, and a viscoelastic material layer is arranged between the first connecting piece and the second connecting piece. The energy dissipation beam sections, the viscoelastic energy dissipation shock absorbers and the energy dissipation hinge devices are combined to form the efficient energy dissipation and shock absorption beam column joint of the concrete column and the I-shaped steel beam, and the energy dissipation capacity of the joint is enhanced.
