The invention relates to a method for assembling and disassembling a steel column in a restricted space of a grandstand by adopting an annular crane, which is characterized in that the steel column is hoisted by a crane suspended on a fixed grandstand and a movable grandstand through a rope in the restricted space. Three cranes of a stand are used for putting down hinges to hoist a steel column, the hoisting direction of the steel column and the positions of the cranes are obtained through lofting, the hinge of one crane plays a leading role and provides pulling force, and the other two hinges play an auxiliary role and are used for controlling the direction. The steel columns serve as supporting columns, a flat stand can be built, and added stand seats are placed on the stand. The crane can move along the annular crane rail on the edge of the stand to complete mounting and dismounting of the steel columns in the longitudinal area. The fixed stand is of a concrete structure and cannot move; the movable grandstand is a steel structure single body and can be moved to a corresponding position according to actual requirements, assembly and disassembly of a transverse area are completed, and the movable grandstand moves by means of a steel wheel trolley and a pallet truck at the bottom.
