The invention discloses a porous ceramic and a production process thereof, and belongs to the technical field of ceramics, the porous ceramic comprises the following raw materials by weight: 80-90 parts of SiC micro powder, 5.8-10 parts of kaolin, and 15-20 parts of PVA coated Al2O3; the PVA-coated Al2O3 is prepared by the following steps: adding isooctane into Al2O3 powder, carrying out ultrasonic dispersion for 15-20 minutes, adding an ethyl acetate solution of PVA with the mass fraction of 5% while stirring, standing, and volatilizing the isooctane to obtain the PVA-coated Al2O3. The mullite-combined porous SiC ceramic is prepared by taking SiC as a main body, mixing and sintering the SiC, the kaolin and the PVA-coated Al2O3 and carrying out in-situ reaction in an air atmosphere at 1200-1600 DEG C, so that the sintering energy consumption and the production cost of the porous ceramic are greatly reduced, the apparent porosity is 30-34%, and the bending strength is 80.20-88.63 MPa.
本发明公开了一种多孔陶瓷及其生产工艺,属于陶瓷技术领域,包括如下重量份原料:80‑90份SiC微粉、5.8‑10份高岭土、15‑20份PVA包覆Al2O3;所述PVA包覆Al2O3包括如下步骤制备:向Al2O3粉中加入异辛烷,超声分散15‑20min,搅拌边加入质量分数为5%的PVA的乙酸乙酯溶液,静置,异辛烷挥发,得PVA包覆Al2O3。本发明通过以SiC为主体,与高岭土、PVA包覆Al2O3混合烧结,在1200‑1600℃空气氛围中原位反应制备了莫来石结合的多孔SiC陶瓷,大大降低了降低多孔陶瓷的烧结能耗、生产成本,其显气孔率为30‑34%,抗弯强度为80.20‑88.63MPa。
