The invention discloses a variable-diameter composite barrel type single pile construction method which comprises the following steps that firstly, a section A is manufactured, and the section A comprises a flange, an inner platform, four body barrel sections and a conical section barrel section; secondly, a section B is manufactured, and the section B comprises two pairs of main lifting lugs and six cone cylinder sections; 3, a section C is manufactured, wherein the section C comprises a barrel cover plate, a tail slipping lifting lug, five cone barrel sections and a body barrel section; fourthly, a set of saddles used for supporting the shell rings are manufactured, and arrangement operation is conducted on the total assembly platform; 5, the section A, the section B and the section C are subjected to large closure; and 6, the overall size of the pipe pile is checked, and the installation integrity of the remaining accessory components is checked. According to the construction method disclosed by the invention, each section is independently constructed at first, and then each section is folded and assembled, so that the limitation of a product on a field is greatly reduced, the utilization of field resources is minimized, and the construction period is effectively prolonged due to span manufacturing.
