The invention relates to the technical field of steel structures, and discloses a damping connecting structure of an assembly type steel structure, the damping connecting structure is used for damping of a stand column and a cross beam, the stand column and the cross beam are connected through a damping assembly, the damping assembly comprises two fixed shafts, a sliding shaft, two flow blocking assemblies and two first springs, and cavities are formed in the inner walls of the ends close to each other; the end, extending into the cavities, of the sliding shaft is fixedly sleeved with a piston body, the two first springs are fixedly connected into the two cavities in a one-to-one correspondence mode, a vent hole is formed in the side, close to the cavities, of the fixed shaft along the axis, an exhaust hole is formed in the side, away from the sliding shaft, of the fixed shaft in the radial direction, and the fixed shaft is provided with a plurality of air inlet holes communicated with the cavities. An air inlet plugging piece is arranged at an opening of the exhaust hole, and an air outlet plugging piece is arranged at an inner hole of the air inlet hole. The device can consume the vibration force energy, the damping and energy dissipation effects on the generated vibration force are achieved by matching with the buffering effect of the first spring, and the occurrence of frequent wave vibration and other conditions is reduced.
