The invention belongs to the field of civil engineering, and particularly relates to a negative Poisson's ratio composite steel plate shear wall which comprises negative Poisson's ratio components and edge components. The negative poisson ratio component comprises a sandwich layer arranged in the middle and outer side steel plates arranged on the two sides of the sandwich layer respectively. The outer side steel plate is connected with the edge component, the sandwich layer is arranged in the edge component, and the sandwich layer is connected with the outer side steel plate; the outer side steel plate and the sandwich layer are both of a negative Poisson's ratio structure. Compared with the prior art, the negative Poisson's ratio composite steel plate shear wall overcomes the defect that in the prior art, the anti-explosion capacity and the anti-seismic capacity of a steel plate shear wall are not matched, on the basis of the steel plate shear wall which is a typical steel structural component, optimization and improvement are conducted by considering the design concept of a negative Poisson's ratio metamaterial, and the novel negative Poisson's ratio composite steel plate shear wall is provided. The anti-seismic performance and the anti-explosion performance of the SPSW are both considered, and the aim of overall coordination of structural performance requirements under the action of two disasters is basically achieved.
