The invention discloses a large-area light-emitting road traffic sign which comprises a panel, a light source part and more than two back plates and further comprises a plurality of detachable frame rods used for forming a sign frame, and supporting rods connected with the detachable frame rods are arranged in the frame. First quick-release fixing structures are arranged on the detachable frame rods and the supporting rods, so that each back plate is detachably fixed on the detachable frame rods and the supporting rods; the detachable frame rod comprises a main frame profile and a cover plate frame profile which are detachably combined and mounted; a second quick-release fixing structure is arranged at the contact position of the cover plate frame profile and the main frame profile, and the cover plate frame profile is detachably fixed to the main frame profile through the second quick-release fixing structure after the panel is borne on the main frame profile so that the panel can be clamped and limited. The device has the advantages of being simple and compact in structure, convenient and fast to manufacture and maintain, easy to replace the panel and high in stability.
