The invention provides a rainwater and sewage diversion control method for a municipal drainage pipe network, which comprises the following steps: installing a catch basin at the tail end of the drainage pipe network, arranging a water quality sensor in the catch basin, and forming a rainwater outlet and a sewage outlet which can be controlled to open and close on the wall surface of the catch basin; water quality data of incoming water in the catch basin are detected through a water quality sensor arranged in the catch basin in different time periods, and when the water quality of the incoming water exceeds a preset sewage standard, a sewage outlet is opened, and a rainwater outlet is closed; if the water quality of the stored water is lower than the preset sewage standard, the rainwater outlet is opened, and the sewage outlet is closed. According to the rainwater and sewage diversion control method for the municipal drainage pipe network, controllable rainwater and sewage diversion treatment is achieved based on an active rainwater and sewage intercepting well and a drainage pipe network monitoring platform, the period corresponding to the first rain period of the rainfall period is determined by periodically detecting the rainfall condition and water quality, and therefore a sewage outlet is opened and a rainwater outlet is closed in the period; and sewage discharge operation in the initial rain period is executed, and accurate closure of rainwater and sewage is guaranteed.
