The invention relates to a component housing for a motor vehicle closure part (2) of a motor vehicle, the component housing (1) having a housing part (3), in particular a housing upper part, which has a mounting opening (4), and a cover part (5), which has a cover section (6), the cover section is designed to at least partially close the mounting opening (4). According to the invention, the component housing (1) has a hinge assembly (8), which has at least one hinge (9a, 9b), by means of which the cover part (5) is movably connected to the housing part (3) in an initial position, in which the cover part (5) is spaced apart from the mounting opening (4) and releases the mounting opening, according to the invention, the hinge assembly (8) has at least one film hinge (10) as a hinge (9a, 9b), and the cover part (5) can be brought out of the initial position into at least two different latching positions, in which the cover part (5) is latched to the housing part (3), in the event of the participation of the at least one film hinge (10).
