The invention discloses piezoelectric ceramic for a transducer of a medical ultrasonic therapeutic apparatus and a preparation method of the piezoelectric ceramic, and belongs to piezoelectric ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The invention aims to provide the transducer piezoelectric ceramic with high electromechanical coupling coefficient, low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss and the preparation method thereof. The structural general formula of the piezoelectric ceramic is Pb (ZrzTi1-z) x (Zn1/3Ta < 2/3 >) y (Mn1/3Nb2/3) 1-x-yO < 3 + > nwt% A, x is equal to 0.90-0.95, y is equal to 0.01-0.06, z is equal to 0.45-0.55, n is equal to 0.05-2, and the modified element oxide A is one or more oxides of Ce, Al and Li. The method comprises the following steps: mixing Pb3O4, ZrO2, TiO2, ZnO, Nb2O5, Ta2O5, MnO2 and a modified element oxide A, and carrying out wet ball milling, drying and sieving; pre-sintering the primary grinding material; crushing the pre-sintered material, and then carrying out wet ball milling, drying and sieving to obtain porcelain powder; carrying out spray granulation on the porcelain powder, and pressing into a porcelain blank; sintering the ceramic body to obtain a ceramic chip; coating the ceramic chip with silver; and the silver-coated ceramic chip is subjected to polarization treatment. The piezoelectric ceramic disclosed by the invention can completely meet the performance requirements of a transducer of a medical ultrasonic therapeutic apparatus on the piezoelectric ceramic.
