The invention discloses an underwater pile foundation for a bridge. The underwater pile foundation comprises a pile foundation body, and the pile foundation body is configured to be of a structure with a polygonal section; the pile foundation base is located at the lower end of the pile foundation body, and at least part of the pile foundation base is buried under the water ground; the pile foundation base is provided with a pre-embedded assembly, and the pile foundation base is connected with a ground base layer through the pre-embedded assembly; the section size of the pile foundation base is larger than that of the pile foundation body. A reinforcement cage structure is arranged in the pile foundation body and is divided into a plurality of reinforcement layers, and each reinforcement layer is of a double-layer structure in the circumferential direction of the pile foundation body. The internal reinforcement cage of the underwater pile foundation is of a double-layer structure, the structural strength of the reinforcement cage is improved through the reinforcement layer of the double-layer structure and the inner-layer reinforcement and the outer-layer reinforcement of the double-layer structure, corners are eliminated through the outer-layer reinforcement layer of the inequilateral octagon to form an inclined plane, and it is guaranteed that the reinforcement cage is of an approximately cuboid structure; and the impact resistance of the corner is improved through the inclined plane.
