The invention discloses trench excavation equipment for road construction. The trench excavation equipment comprises a vehicle body and a trench excavation mechanism mounted on the vehicle body, the trench excavation mechanism comprises a supporting assembly, and the supporting assembly comprises a first mounting frame which is mounted at the front end of the vehicle body in a liftable manner; the cutting assembly comprises a first rotating shaft, a plurality of cutter heads and a rotating driving mechanism; the first rotating shaft is rotatably mounted between the two vertical connecting arms, and the multiple cutter heads are fixedly mounted on the first rotating shaft at intervals in the longitudinal direction; the rotation driving mechanism is mounted on the first mounting frame and used for driving the first rotating shaft to rotate, and the first rotating shaft drives the multiple cutter heads to rotate so as to cut the road surface; and a group of knocking assemblies are arranged between every two adjacent cutter heads, and the knocking assemblies are used for repeatedly knocking the road surface between the two adjacent cutter heads in the vertical direction. By arranging the cutting assembly and the knocking assembly, relatively large cement blocks can be quickly broken, and the breaking efficiency is greatly improved.
