The siphon type measurement and control gate valve comprises a main pipeline which comprises a pipeline body, a first end and a second end, the first end and the second end are located at the two ends of the pipeline body, and the first end is a water inlet end; one end of the connecting pipe is connected with the second end of the main pipeline, and the other end of the connecting pipe serves as a water outlet end; the winding device is connected with the other end of the connecting pipe and is used for controlling the water outlet end of the connecting pipe to rise and fall so as to control the formation or stop of the siphon; the water sealing device is used for performing water sealing on the water inlet end and the water outlet end before the siphon is formed; the vacuum device is used for emptying air in the main pipeline before siphoning is formed, so that the main pipeline is filled with water, and the sensor is used for detecting the water level of the main channel and the branch channel. The embodiment of the invention further provides an irrigation method and a flow measurement method using the measurement and control gate valve.
