A road retaining cantilever type retaining wall for avoiding wall space comprises a bottom plate foundation, a wall body, a buttress and a cantilever. The wall surfaces on the two sides of the wall body in the width direction of the bottom plate foundation are an outer side wall surface and an inner side wall surface; the bottom end of the outer side wall face is located at the outer end of the bottom plate foundation in the width direction, and the bottom end of the inner side wall face is located on the bottom plate foundation and connected with the buttress. The lower end of the cantilever arm is connected to the upper end of the wall body, is suspended out of the outer wall surface and is obliquely suspended upwards, and the transverse end part of the viaduct body is propped against the inner side of the vertical retaining wall and is supported on the cantilever arm, the wall body and the buttress for connection; the outer sides of the bottom plate foundation and the outer side wall surface and the bottom space of the cantilever arm are avoiding sides, a water supply pipe, an auxiliary road or other current avoiding objects are arranged on the avoiding sides, and the bridge body is supported by the cantilever arm to avoid the occupied road space of the current avoiding objects.
