The invention discloses a method for reinforcing a masonry wall by using steel plate concrete, which comprises the following steps of: 1, cleaning the surface of the outer wall of the masonry wall to be reinforced, fully exposing a masonry matrix, and infiltrating the masonry matrix by using cement paste; secondly, drilling is conducted at the position of the brick joint mortar, and a screw penetrates out of the drilling position; thirdly, a sleeve is installed on the side, provided with the reinforcing layer, of the screw, and a steel plate punched in the corresponding drilling position is installed on the outer side of the sleeve and fixed through a nut; and fourthly, the space between the to-be-reinforced masonry wall and the steel plate is filled with self-compacting concrete, and reinforcement is completed. The problems that an original masonry wall cannot meet the use function requirement, and the bearing capacity and rigidity of a component need to be greatly improved under the condition that an external support is not arranged are solved, meanwhile, an external formwork is not needed for pouring, the increase of the section size is small, construction is convenient and fast, occupied space is small, and economic benefits are remarkable.
