The invention relates to the technical field of aerogel materials, in particular to a high-temperature-resistant and high-flame-retardant silicon-aluminum aerogel composite material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method of the composite material comprises the following steps: step 1, mixing aluminum dihydrogen phosphate, water, alcohol and a stabilizer, stirring until an aluminum source is completely hydrolyzed to obtain aluminum sol, and then dropwise adding a silicon source into the obtained aluminum sol to prepare silicon-aluminum sol; 2, compounding a fiber base material with the silicon-aluminum sol obtained in the step 1, and gelling to prepare a silicon-aluminum gel-fiber base material composite material; step 3, carrying out aging and solvent replacement on the silica-alumina gel-fiber base material composite material obtained in the step 2; 4, the silicon-aluminum gel-fiber base material composite material obtained after solvent replacement in the step 3 is dried, the high-temperature-resistant and high-flame-retardant silicon-aluminum aerogel composite material is obtained, and the finally prepared silicon-aluminum aerogel composite material has good high-temperature heat insulation performance, high-temperature flame retardant performance and high-temperature stability.
