The large-span gate steel truss comprises a steel truss body and two sets of stand columns used for supporting the two ends of the steel truss body, the steel truss body is located between the two sets of stand columns, and the stand columns are provided with lifting assemblies used for lifting the steel truss body; the lifting assembly comprises a lifter and a plurality of steel strands, a mounting frame is detachably mounted on the stand columns, the lifter is arranged on the mounting frame, a plurality of joist seats used for being connected with the tops of the stand columns are arranged at the two ends of the steel truss body respectively, one ends of the steel strands are connected to the joist seats, and the other ends of the steel strands are connected with the lifter. The number of the lifters corresponds to that of the steel strands; a monitoring piece is arranged on one side of the stand column and used for monitoring stress and deformation in the lifting process of the steel truss body. According to the large-span gate steel truss, the building efficiency of the large-span gate steel truss can be improved. The invention further relates to a lifting method of the large-span gate steel truss.
