The invention provides a solid waste-based underground filling material and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: A) performing impurity removal and screening pretreatment on CFB fly ash to obtain pretreated CFB fly ash A; b) activating the gasified slag to obtain activated gasified slag; carrying out decarburization treatment on the activated gasified slag to obtain activated gasified slag micro powder B; c) mixing the pretreated CFB fly ash A obtained in the step A), the active gasified slag micro powder B obtained in the step B), a composite exciting agent, a composite water reducing agent and a composite thickening agent to obtain active gelling powder C; d) mixing the coarse gasified slag and the fine gasified slag to obtain a gasified slag mixed slag aggregate D; and E) mixing the active gelling powder C, the gasified slag mixed slag aggregate D and water to obtain the solid waste-based underground filling material. Wherein the step A) and the step B) are not limited in sequence, and the step C) and the step D) are not limited in sequence.
