The invention relates to a two-way limiting shape memory alloy energy dissipation type bridge anti-seismic stop block which is arranged between a cover beam and a main beam of a bridge and comprises a shell which comprises an upper top plate fixed to the lower surface of the main beam and a sleeve installed below the upper top plate; the base comprises a lower bottom plate fixed to the cover beam and an enclosure arranged in the middle of the lower bottom plate. The shape memory alloy energy dissipation elements are arranged on the surfaces of all the side walls in the sleeve; the bottom end of the body is clamped into the enclosure, the top end of the body extends into the sleeve, and a gap is reserved between the top end of the body and the shape memory alloy energy dissipation element. Compared with the prior art, huge collision energy of the upper beam body to the check block can be effectively dissipated, and displacement of the upper beam body in the transverse bridge direction and the longitudinal bridge direction can be well limited.
