The invention discloses an installation and construction method for a hanging type light steel pipe bracket system. The method comprises the steps that a splicing mold is built on the ground; sequentially putting the steel pipes into the splicing mold, and connecting and fixing all the steel pipes to form a bucket arch; a plurality of hoisting mechanisms are erected at the positions, corresponding to bracket mounting positions, of the roof of the building; the splicing mold is hoisted to the roof position, and the bracket set is hung to the roof position of the building; the splicing mold is separated from the bucket arch, lowered to the ground and then transported to the next construction site; and a supporting column is hoisted, and the two ends of the supporting column are fixed to the bottom of the bracket set and the ground correspondingly. The bracket system has the effect of improving the construction safety and construction convenience of the bracket system.
