The invention discloses a low-dielectric-constant microwave dielectric ceramic material, the composition expression of which is aMgO-bSiO2-cBaCO3-dZnO-eCaCO3-fAl2O3, a, b, c, d, e and f respectively represent mass percentages, and meet the following conditions: 25% < = a < = 29%, 29% < = b < = 33%, 19% < = c < = 23%, 11% < = d < = 15%, 3% < = e < = 7%, and 0.5% < = f < = 2.5%. The invention also discloses a preparation method and application of the microwave dielectric ceramic material. The microwave dielectric ceramic disclosed by the invention can keep the following microwave properties under the condition of low-temperature sintering (850-900 DEG C): the dielectric constant Dk is 7 +/-1, the dielectric loss Df is less than or equal to 0.1%, and the absolute value of the temperature coefficient of resonance frequency tau f is less than 30ppm/DEG C.
