The embodiment of the invention provides a construction method for a cantilever part of a bridge sidewalk, and relates to the technical field of road construction engineering. The construction method comprises the following steps: S1, construction preparation: pre-embedded steel bars of a bridge top plate are corrected before construction, and construction materials and construction equipment are prepared; s2, processing and mounting an overhanging support system: processing, manufacturing and mounting a balance lever steel bar, a fulcrum steel bar and a U-shaped fixed steel bar; s3, processing and mounting a bottom template of the cantilever part; s4, steel bars at the cantilever part are bound; s5, a side formwork of the cantilever part is installed; and S6, concrete pouring and curing. The construction speed of the overhanging part of the bridge sidewalk can be increased, a large amount of mechanical and labor cost is saved, and potential safety hazards such as high-altitude falling and mechanical damage in the construction process of the overhanging part of the bridge are eliminated.
