The invention relates to a suspension bridge front anchor chamber approaching construction method which comprises the following steps: step 1, digging a foundation pit of a front anchor chamber at a preset position, building anchors, enabling two ends of a plurality of steel cables to penetrate through a gantry of a suspension bridge and then respectively hoisting the steel cables to front anchor surfaces of the anchors at two ends of the suspension bridge; secondly, the two ends of a plurality of steel cables penetrate through front anchor face anchor bearing plates of anchors at the two ends of the suspension bridge respectively and are anchored to the anchors; thirdly, the multiple steel cables are folded to form a main cable of the suspension bridge; fourthly, scaffolds are erected on the scattered steel cables at the ends of the main cables, transverse supporting beams are erected at the top of the foundation pit where the steel cables are dense, and the scaffolds continue to be erected on the basis of the supporting beams; fifthly, a top cover formwork is erected on the top of the scaffold; and sixthly, concrete is poured into the top cover formwork to form a top cover to seal the foundation pit, and a front anchor chamber is formed. The construction method has the effects that the scaffold is conveniently erected above the dense main cable position, so that the top cover is poured above the front anchor chamber, and the safety of the top cover template structure is improved.
