The invention belongs to the technical field of earthwork construction, and particularly relates to a groove excavation depth limiting device which comprises a fixing plate. The two ends of the fixing plate are connected with supporting plates in a bolted mode. The bottom of the supporting plate can be fixed to the ground. A supporting rod is vertically arranged in the middle of the fixing plate. The multiple supporting rods are fixedly connected end to end in series. A plurality of laser gradienters are arranged on the supporting rod at the bottom; the multiple supporting rods are fixedly connected in series, the bottom ends of the supporting rods make vertical contact with the bottom face of the groove, the supporting rods are kept in the vertical state to be fixedly connected with the fixing plate, the multiple laser gradienters are evenly installed and fixed to the supporting rods according to the excavation requirement, and horizontal laser emitted by the laser gradienters is used for conducting laser excavation. The horizontal laser marking line is formed in the to-be-excavated groove, so that a user can conveniently use excavating equipment to excavate the qualified and standard groove, the reworking condition of the groove by a constructor is reduced, the workload of the constructor is reduced, and the construction efficiency is improved.
