The microwave dielectric ceramic material is prepared from the following raw material components in mole percent: 10 mol%-20 mol% of BaCO3, 75 mol%-80 mol% of TiO2, 2 mol%-4 mol% of ZnO, 2 mol%-4 mol% of Li2CO3 and 1 mol%-2 mol% of ZrO2. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the microwave dielectric ceramic material for the filter. The microwave dielectric ceramic material can maintain the following microwave properties under the condition of low-temperature sintering (1100-1200 DEG C): Er = 35 +/-2, Qfgt; and tau f is adjustable, meets the requirement within +/-5ppm/DEG C, can meet the technical requirements of signal filter devices, and has important industrial application value.
